Work Appropriate

One of my stylish coworkers offered to take some pictures for the blog yesterday, so I took her up on her offer. We work at one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, so it's perfect for snapping a few pictures.

This is a fully lined silk dress from Ann Taylor back before the vanity sizing really happened. I got loads of compliments wearing it :).

Wow, I didn't realize how much the dress wrinkled over the belt... maybe next time I'll wear a skinny one.

One nice thing about this dress is I can wear it as a top, put a blazer over it, a vest over it, a scarf....etc. It is so versitile. I also love the shade of blue, it is one I haven't seen around in a while.

Dress: Ann Taylor (old)
Belt: PacSun
Necklace: Talbots
Bracelet: Market in Naples, FL
Shoes: Rack Room Shoes (my current work favs)

Thanks for visiting!

  1. I LOVE this post! Your friend has a good eye (and you make a good model). Beautiful spots to take pics too. That dress actually looks way better on you than it ever did on me. I think the wide belt is what helps make it so stunning (Besides your pretty face). As for the length, I keep seeing that mid-calf length being super popular. After the trend has passed though, I'll bet the dress would look even better hemmed just above or below the knee. I think that it the best length for petites. Well done!
