Inspired by: Jackie O

I recently made use of the 'instant view' feature of my Netflix account and watched the miniseries, "The Kennedys". Hence the Jackie O inspiration. I had known that she was a style icon in her time, and I associated her with big sunglasses and sheath dresses, but that was about all I knew about her. Forgive me, I was born in the 80's.

So, with images of Jackie O fresh in my head, when I saw this cute little dress at Target, I snatched it up. I love the high 50's style neckline and ladylike cut, and that the tie is actually part of the dress, not just an add on. If I wanted to really look like Jackie O, I could have paired this with a pearl necklace, but I decided to slightly modernize it instead. And of course, I had to add the big sunglasses to compete the look. The hair tie that I forgot to take off my wrist in the top picture was not inspired by Jackie O, in case you were wondering.

This is my "I forgot where I put my keys" pose.
