Stepping into the Ring- The fashion ring that is :)

Hello fellow petites!

After reading several other petite bloggers my sister and I decided it was time for us to participate in the petite fashion world. Our fashion journey has been like the swinging of a ball on a pendulum; One breakthrough outfit here, one frumpy one there. But now we've decided to take fashion into our own hands. We fondly remember the days of neon pink shorts, oversized t-shirts, and bowl cut hair cuts, but now that we are both married 20 somethings, it's time to look our age.

We both stand under 5' tall live in Chicago and Florida and hope to strike out in more creative casual wear and work wear. We hope to bring a little diversity to the blogging world since we will be creating wardrobing ideas for both the north and the south.

Our aim is to repurpose well fitting clothing items that are "lost" in our closets to give them a fresh face and make bold statements rather than hovering at the bottom of socially acceptable outfits. There is no excuse to say "I have nothing to wear," instead, this should be a challenge to breathe new life into the clothes we already own.

We hope that our reviews and outfit posts will be constructive to you. If you have any feedback or suggestions, we would love to hear from you.

Enjoy!

  1. This post reminds me of Dad in so many ways (who would have known, in a fashion blog?) - Stepping into the ring - Roosevelt quote - and hovering at the bottom of socially acceptable outfits - when he was here, he told me that you told him that he had to be over the line of socially acceptable. Ha!

  2. Love the idea, ladies! Not being petite...but tall and curvy...I still can relate to the repurposing clothing rather than lamenting "I have nothing to wear". It's amazing what you can create with a different piece of jewelry or a new color combination of colors.

Wishing you the best with your blog...and even though I am not petite, I'll be following. (You might like to see another blog (Sounds of Sight)written by Drew's wife. She loves fashion and home decor. Although she doesn't write a lot, she's fun to visit...
