A Little Perspective

Sorry for the graininess, but this was too funny not to share.

When my best friends from college were in town for our 5 year reunion, we thought it would be fun to have me take a picture next to Lydia's husband, Nick, who is 6'6" (That's Lydia's shoulder on the right side of the pic - it is a good thing she is a lot taller than me!).

Sometimes I think that I look taller than I really am in my pictures (maybe even over 5'!), since I am pretty much always alone in them, with nothing for size perspective. But as you can see, yes, I am petite. Something like a hobbit.

  1. You should also notice that his waist is at your shoulders :).

  2. That's hysterical. I feel your pain - I am 4'10"ish and my husband is 6'2". We're used to the height difference, but I forget how ridiculous we look to the rest of the world. I also work with a guy who is close to 6'5" - I wear 4 inch heels when I have to walk through the hallways with this colleague and know that we look ridiculous together!

  3. Love it! There is a whole series of photos from college where my friends would throw me next to the tallest person in the room and we'd be forced to take a photo together. :P

  4. Even with my husband being an average height (5'10"), there is still a 12 inch difference, so it is hard to get close up shots of our faces when we are standing next to each other - they never are in the same frame.
